CHAIRMAN'S
REPORT MARCH 2006
The Village Plan Questionnaire has now been delivered or posted to every household in the village. So far the response rate looks very encouraging but of course the hard work really begins now with the encoding of the data onto a software programme ready for analysing the data. Before the final Village Plan can be adopted by the Parish Council the results will be reported at and discussed in open meetings where all parishioners are welcome to attend. Therefore, we thought it would be sensible to arrange the Annual Parish Meeting towards the end of May, instead of April, so we can be sure of having a progress report. If you have not received a questionnaire and would like one please ring either myself on 598410 or Shirley Chapman, Clerk on 598882, likewise if your questionnaire has not been collected please ring either number, or post though Shirley's door at Briarley Lodge, Stubb Road. Hopefully. the flower planter at the village sign should be completed by Easter weekend, weather permitting of course. The village
web-site, www.hickling-village-norfolk.co.uk is proving very popular with
10,936 pages visited in the last 12 months, by people looking for information
about Hickling. The Police Mobile Unit's next visit is at the Chapel Car Park on Friday 7th April from 10.15am to 12.30pm Our Parish Liaison Officer for Hickling has changed, but the telephone numbers remain the same, either 01692 401155 or Norfolk Constabulary Non-Emergency no. 0845 4564567. STALHAM & HAPPING PARTNERSHIP They are compiling
a Happing directory which they hope will be published in August this year,
it will be given, free, to all residents and businesses in the happing
area. Viv Tallowin,
