PARISH COUNCIL CHAIRMAN'S REPORT - JUNE 2008
The behind-the-scenes activities on the issue of Hickling and coastal flooding are still very much in evidence, with various meetings being arranged with the appropriate bodies.
Although Hickling Environment and Residents Alliance will now work in unison with the North East Norfolk Coastal Group, we will ensure Hickling will be high on the agenda.
Please see Ken & Eric's report for more details.

We would also like to thank Zoe King for her hard work and time in keeping people updated, via email, of any information or letters that are sent or received with regards to the above flooding issues. If you wish to be included in this email loop, please contact her at zoe@zoekinq.com.

The Highways Department have informed us of an impending highways inspection in our area, so please contact me or the Clerk if you know of any potholes, etc that require attention.
It has also been brought to our attention, once again, that vehicles are being driven much too fast around the village, and not enough consideration given to pedestrians and cyclists, especially with summer visitors around.

We have put notices on two boats at the Staithe, stating that within 3 months, they will be disposed of. One boat has been abandoned and the other boat owner is in arrears and all correspondence has gone unanswered.
The PCSO has been informed about the abandoned boat, but if anyone has any knowledge about these boats, please contact me on 598410, the Clerk (Shirley Chapman on 598882) or the Staithe Warden (Harry Nudd on 598454).

The next Parish Council meeting will be in the Community Hall on Monday, 14th July at 7.15pm.

All are very welcome to attend.

Viv Tallowin, Chairman (598410)
