CHAIRMAN'S REPORT AUGUST 2007
Vandalism costs the Parish Council and parishioners money - our money! Once again, the fencing in the children's play area has been damaged, so please be more vigilant and use your cameras/phones to take any relevant pictures and pass to the Parish Council or contact our Community Police Officer on 0845 456 4567 with any information you may have.

The Parish Council has been notified of thefts from boats at Reed Bank, next to the Parish Staithe. Boat owners should not leave any valuable items in their boats.
The police are aware and hopefully our PCO will patrol the area more frequently.
Again, if you have any information call me on 598410, Shirley on 598882 or the PCO direct.

The Chapel Pit should now be completed apart from some planting of shrubs/ trees which will be dependent on weather conditions, and the installing of some bird boxes.
The Parish Council would like to thank David and Amanda Skinner for their input into the project. The notice board has an open side to which anyone can pin a notice, but of course this will be monitored and anything unsuitable or oversized will be removed.

In the Village Plan, several parishioners requested that the Village Fete be resurrected, but of course for this to happen, we do need volunteers to form a committee. If anyone is interested, please contact me or Shirley.

The next Parish Council meetings in the Community Hall at 7.15pm are on
3rd September, 1 st October, 5th November and 3rd December.
