PARISH COUNCIL CHAIRMAN'S REPORT
The flower planter by the village sign has been completed and the Hickling WI have done a very good job of planting all the flowers and scrubs. They have also kindly offered to maintain it and the Hickling Parish Council would like to thank them for their generosity.

There has been a very good response to the Village Plan questionnaire with approximately 75 - 80% returned and the data is now in the process of being encoded onto the software, which is taking some time. If you have not received a questionnaire and would like to take part please contact myself, Viv Tallowin on 598410 or Shirley on 598882, likewise if you have not had yours collected ring either number. The Parish Council would like to thank all the volunteers who delivered and collected the questionnaires in their own time.

We have had a lot of people ticking the boxes to be a volunteer for various projects, but as the questionnaire is anonymous we do not know any of your names so please contact either myself or Shirley then we can begin to collate and produce a comprehensive list of names.
We would like to thank the ones that have already got their names on the list.

We would like to remind everyone that any hedges that encroach onto the roadway should be trimmed by yourself, as the County Council do not cut these hedges. Overgrown hedges are a danger to pedestrians and cyclists especially now the better weather is with us and we have visitors in the village.

The Hickling Staithe has a few dry berths available for the coming season, so please contact Shirley on 598882 if you are interested by the 17th May, if no parishioners come forward these will advertised in the local paper.

The Police Mobile Unit's next visit is at the Chapel Car Park on Friday 5th May from 10.15am to 12.30pm

The Annual Parish Council meeting is on the 8th May 2006 in the Community Hall, starting at 7.15pm.
The Annual Parish Meeting (AGM) will be the 22nd May 2006 starting at 7pm, we hope to have an update on the Village Plan that evening.
If any group/organisation wish to publise their reports on this evening please let Shirley have the report a least a week before.
